BRO has a special “car passenger mode”^[10]. This mode turns BRO into a passenger seat, allowing you to stay in the car as a passenger. This guide only gives you an overview of how to use the car passenger mode in vehicles with a tailgate. For more detailed instructions and other cars, please be sure to read the user manual. Step by step guide

	Drive your wheelchair in front of the vehicle's loading ramp. Make sure that the ground is either even or slopes downwards towards the vehicle. Switch to park mode. Attach two of the vehicle's self-locking safety belts to the two front attachment points of your wheelchair.
	Now select the car hook on the control panel to activate car passenger mode. Make sure that the transition to the mode is confirmed.
	Now switch to car passenger boarding mode by selecting the track mode icon. Make sure that the front straps are loose to complete the transition into this mode . Then drive forward over the loading ramp in car passenger boarding mode under the supervision of a third person who should walk behind the wheelchair. The front belts must be locked while you are driving. When entering the vehicle, make sure that your head does not hit the ceiling of the vehicle and that the wheelchair does not tip over backwards
	When you have reached the designated position in the car, select the park mode icon to switch to the car passenger position. If you move the joystick, your BRO now automatically moves into the recommended car passenger position (ring lights up green). It is important that you leave approximately 10 cm of space in front of your feet so that you can move forward a bit before getting off later. If it is not possible to take up the recommended car passenger position due to the conditions of the vehicle, you can end the transition early. To do this, select the car hook on the control panel. You can now adjust your sitting position as usual (ring lights up yellow). We recommend that you stay in the pre-programmed position whenever possible. 	Complete the wheelchair attachment by attaching safety belts approved for the total weight of the wheelchair (including passenger) to the two rear securement points of the wheelchair. Now fasten yourself with a three-point safety belt to protect your body from ejection. Never use the pelvic belt of BRO here, but always the integrated seat belts of the car. Remove any loose objects and accessories from the wheelchair that could fly through the vehicle. Particularly, remove the smartphone from the Scewo mount and store it in a safe place .
	Once you have reached your destination, release the rear safety belts. The front belts must still be connected but must be adjusted so that they can be pulled out. Before driving out, you should move forward a bit, as the front belts could be clamped. Since you left this 10 cm of space in front of your feet when driving in, this shouldn't be a problem now . To drive out, switch back to car passenger boarding mode by selecting and confirming the track mode icon. When you exit the vehicle, make sure that your head does not hit the ceiling of the vehicle and that the wheelchair does not tip over backwards
	As soon as you have completely left the loading ramp, select the car hook icon on the control panel to exit car passenger mode. The car passenger mode icon should no longer be lit. Now remove the front belts Now you can switch to driving mode via parking mode and continue your adventure.
