Safety Instructions

  • Please contact the relevant authorities for information on the applicable installation/operating regulations! All work on the device (its assembly, electrical installation and commissioning) must be carried out in accordance with national and local regulations. These may differ from the regulations listed here!

  • Voltages of up to 1000 volts occur in this device! These can injure or even kill people if the device is not assembled, installed, handled or operated correctly!

  • Touching live parts can result in serious or fatal injuries!

  • Temperatures of up to 60°C can occur on the housing! If the ventilation is obstructed, this can lead to overheating and the device switching off automatically. Therefore, never cover the charger or place any objects on it. Make sure there is sufficient air circulation if the device is installed in a box!

  • The device must not be opened.

  • The device has been tested by the manufacturer and must not be modified in any way! No repairs may be carried out independently. Without prior written permission from the supplier, this will result in the immediate loss of the factory warranty.

  • The device must not be installed in an explosive atmosphere (gas/dust).

  • After an automatic shutdown due to an error, the device can switch back on automatically! The time (a few seconds to several minutes) until it switches back on depends on the cause of the error.

  • The charger is for stationary use at home.

  • Please check that the cable is intact before each use. If the cable is damaged, the product must not be used until the cable has been replaced.

  • No person may sit on the wheelchair during charging.

  • The Li-Ion Charger MDA 5A, 54.6V chargers have been developed for charging or maintaining lithium-ion battery systems. The charger may only be used for the devices intended for it.
